2025 WINTER TRIALS

Thank you for your interest in trialling for Metro Jets Netball Club in Winter 2025 - we look forward to welcoming you to our family-based netball Club. Here at Metro Jets we provide a caring community environment that is committed to nurturing our future netballers and providing pathway opportunities, development and education for all club members in a safe and supportive manner.

All Metro Jets Netball Club (MJNC) 2025 Winter Trials will be held at St. Michael’s College, Mitton Avenue, Henley Beach. However our winter training is held at Netball SA, Mile End.

TRIAL DATES

2025 Winter Trials will be run over two timeslots on the following dates:

Sunday 23 February 2025
Sunday 2 March 2025
Sunday 16 March 2025

Timeslots are from 9:00am – 11:00am and from 11:30am – 1:30pm.

Players are to arrive 30 minutes prior to trial start time to sign in, strap, stretch and warm up.

Sub Primary (born in 2016, 2017 or 2018)

Sunday 16 March 9:00am – 11:00am

Note: Sub Primary players must turn 7 years of age by 3 May 2025 to be eligible to play.

Primary (born in 2014 or 2015)

Sunday 2 March 9:00am – 11:00am

Sunday 16 March 9:00am – 11:00am

Sub Junior (born in 2012 or 2013)

Sunday 23 February 11:30am – 1:30pm

Sunday 2 March 11:30am – 1:30pm

Sunday 16 March 9:00am – 11:00am

Junior (born in 2010 or 2011)

Sunday 23 February 11:30am – 1:30pm

Sunday 2 March 11:30am – 1:30pm

Sunday 16 March 11:30am – 1:30pm

Intermediate (born in 2008 or 2009)

Sunday 23 February 9:00am – 11:00am

Sunday 2 March 9:00am – 11:00am

Seniors (born 2007 or earlier)

TRIAL NOMINATION AND REGISTRATION

All players who wish to trial for the Metro Jets Netball Club must register and pay the full registration fee by the closing date.

All nominations to trial must be completed via the link below.

Registrations close Wednesday 19th February 2025.

Any registrations received after the closing date will be put on a waiting list and may be contacted should any positions become available.

WINTER SEASON 2025 FEES

Our Winter 2025 fees take into consideration player registration fees, Netball SA and PlayHQ fees, court hire costs, umpire payments, equipment upgrades and more.

This year’s fee breakdown is as follows:

Payment in full must be made at time of registration however, payment plans can be organised via our Club Treasurer prior to registration at [email protected].

GOVERNMENT SPORTS VOUCHERS

Eligible players may apply the $100 Government Sports Voucher to their fees.
Sports Vouchers can now be submitted at time of registration on Play HQ after 1 January 2025 to ensure alignment with the 2025 calendar year.
If you are applying for the sports voucher against your fees, please check the box in the financial section of the registration form on PlayHQ.

IMPORTANT TRIAL INFORMATION

Registered players are expected to attend all trials. If unable to attend, any absence may affect the players final placement.
If you are unable to attend a trial, a written explanation must be sent to the Club Secretary at [email protected] prior to the commencement of the trial process where possible.
If you are sick on the day of trials, you must contact the Club Secretary as soon as possible prior to the start time of trials.
No Metro Jets branded or representative clothing is to be worn at trials by players.
MJNC will endeavour to ensure each player has equitable court time at each trial and that each player will play in their first preference position at least once. Some players may receive additional court time if we need to fill full teams to ensure all players are given the opportunity to trial in their preferred position.

REFUNDS

Players who withdraw prior to the commencement of trials will receive a refund less a $100 administration fee and any Netball SA fees.
Should a registered player withdraw during the trial process, or not be selected in a team, fees will be refunded, less a $100 administration fee and any Netball SA fees.
Should the player be selected in a team (or squad if applicable) but choose to decline their selection, no refund will be issued.

Should the player withdraw after they have accepted their selection: during preseason or during the season, no refund will be issued.

TEAM SELECTION

Trialling players are not guaranteed a place in a team.
Selection in a Summer Team does not mean automatic selection in a team for Winter competition or an equivalent grading expectation for Winter as Summer grading.
Players will be notified by email when the teams have been selected and asked to accept or decline the team placement within 48 hours, otherwise it may be offered to someone else.

SEASON LAUNCH

All new and returning players and parents of all grades up to and including Intermediates are expected to attend a meet the coach and teammates, as well as parent information session at our Club Season Launch next year.
Information regarding this will be included with the offer of team placement email.

TRAINING

By agreeing to join the Jets for the winter season you must commit to compulsory training sessions and games throughout the season.
Metro Jets train on Tuesday nights at Netball SA

Sub Primary, Primary, Sub Junior and C6 train from 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Junior, Intermediate and Seniors train from 7:30pm – 9pm
Bonus - We will continue to provide Primary, Sub Junior, Junior and Inter teams with extra specialist training during the winter season with our Premier League Training group and Coaching Mentor.

AMND COMPETITION

Metro Jets are a proud Premier League club who play in the premier netball division for South Australia in the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division (AMND) competition.
