Metro Jets Netball Club – Premier League License Outcome
Metro Jets Netball Club wishes to advise its members, players, parents, and the broader netball community that, as of Monday, 11 August 2025, we were informed by Netball SA that our application for a Premier League License for the League Team for the period 2026–2029 was unsuccessful.
While we have been awarded a Reserves Team license for the next three years, we were not selected to compete in the Premier League at the League Team level. As announced publicly, Walkerville have been granted a Premier League license, finalising the League competition at 8 teams and the Reserves competition at 9 teams.
We are deeply disappointed by this decision and will be seeking clarification from Netball SA in the coming days and weeks regarding both the process and the implications for our Club.
Metro Jets Netball Club was established in 1995 and has been built on the dedication of our hard working committee, exceptional volunteers, passionate coaches, talented players, and loyal supporters. We take this opportunity to thank all who have contributed to the growth and strength of our Club over the past three decades.
We remain committed to providing quality netball programs, supporting player development, and delivering competitive opportunities for our athletes.
Importantly, this outcome does not impact any teams or resourcing for Summer Netball 2025/26 — all programs will continue as planned.
Further updates will be provided once we have had the opportunity to review the decision in detail and consider next steps for the Club.
