2025/26 SUMMER TRIALS

Thank you for your interest in trialling for Metro Jets Netball Club in Summer 2025/26 - we look forward to welcoming you to our family-based netball Club. Here at Metro Jets we provide a caring community environment that is committed to nurturing our future netballers and providing pathway opportunities, development and education for all club members in a safe and supportive manner. Metro Jets are a proud Premier League club who play in the premier netball division for South Australia in the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division (AMND) and City Night Division (CND) competition.

TRIAL DATES

Metro Jets Netball Club (MJNC) 2025/26 Summer Trials will be held at Nazareth Catholic College, 1 Hartley Road, Flinders Park.

There will be a third and final trial for Sub Junior and Junior players to be held at St. Michael’s College, 15 Mitton Avenue, Henley Beach, if required. Players will be notified in advance.

2025/26 Summer Trials will be run over two timeslots on the following dates:

Sunday 10 August 2025
Sunday 17 August 2025
Thursday 28 August (Sub Junior and Junior only if required)

Players are to arrive 30 minutes prior to trial start time to sign in, strap, stretch and warm up.

Sub Primary (born in 2017 or 2018)

Players interested in playing in Sub Primary will not need to trial. Instead we will be hosting a “Come and Try” session on Sunday 16 March 9:00am – 11:00am for all interested players.

Primary (born in 2015 or 2016)

Sunday 10 August 9:00am – 11:00am

Sunday 17 August 9:00am – 11:00am

Sub Junior (born in 2013 or 2014)

Sunday 10 August 11:30am – 2:00pm

Sunday 17 August 11:30am – 2:00pm

Thursday 28 August (To be advised)

Junior (born in 2011 or 2012)

Sunday 10 August 11:30am – 2:00pm

Sunday 17 August 11:30am – 2:00pm

Intermediate (born in 2009 or 2010)

Sunday 10 August 9:00am – 11:00am

Sunday 17 August 9:00am – 11:00am

Seniors (born 2008 or earlier)

TRIAL NOMINATION AND REGISTRATION

All players who wish to trial for the Metro Jets Netball Club must register and pay the full registration fee by the closing date.
All nominations to trial must be completed via the link below.

Registrations close 5pm Wednesday 6th August 2025.

Any registrations received after the closing date will be put on a waiting list and may be contacted should any positions become available.

CITY NIGHT 2025/26 COMPETITION

The City Night Division (CND) competition in 2025/26 will take place at the SAUCNA Courts located on Anzac Highway, due to the redevelopment of the Netball SA stadium.

Sub Primary to Junior: Saturday 18 October 2025
Inters + Seniors: Sunday 19 October 2025
Xmas Break from Saturday 13 + 14December 2025
Semi Finals: Saturday 7 March 2026 (Sub Primary to Junior) + Sunday 8 March 2026 (Inters/Seniors)
Grand Final: Saturday 14 March 2026 (Sub Primary to Junior) + Sunday 15 March (Inters/Seniors)
2025/26 CND Summer Match times to be determined

SUMMER SEASON 2025/26 FEES

Our Summer 2025/26 fees are:

Primary to Senior grades: $300
Sub Primary grade: $275

Please note these fees do not take into consideration any Netball SA, Netball Australia and PlayHQ services which may be an additional cost.

Payment in full must be made at time of registration however, payment plans can be organised via our Club Treasurer prior to registration at [email protected].

GOVERNMENT SPORTS VOUCHERS

Eligible players may apply up to $200 worth of Government Sports Voucher to their fees if not previously claimed during 2025.
If you are applying for the sports voucher against your fees, please check the box in the financial section of the registration form on PlayHQ.

IMPORTANT TRIAL INFORMATION

Registered players are expected to attend all trials. If unable to attend, any absence may affect the players final placement.
If you are unable to attend a trial, a written explanation must be sent to the Club Secretary at [email protected] prior to the commencement of the trial process where possible.
If you are sick on the day of trials, you must contact the Club Secretary as soon as possible prior to the start time of trials.
No Metro Jets branded or representative clothing is to be worn at trials by players.
MJNC will endeavour to ensure each player has equitable court time at each trial and that each player will play in their first preference position at least once. Some players may receive additional court time if we need to fill full teams to ensure all players are given the opportunity to trial in their preferred position.

REFUNDS

Players who withdraw prior to the commencement of trials will receive a refund less a $100 administration fee and any Netball SA fees.
Should a registered player withdraw during the trial process, or not be selected in a team, fees will be refunded, less a $100 administration fee and any Netball SA fees.
Should the player be selected in a team (or squad if applicable) but choose to decline their selection, no refund will be issued.
Should the player withdraw after they have accepted their selection: during preseason or during the season, no refund will be issued.

TEAM SELECTION

Trialling players are not guaranteed a place in a team.
Selection in a Winter Team does not mean automatic selection in a team for Summer competition or an equivalent grading expectation for Summer as Winter grading.
Players will be notified by email when the teams have been selected and asked to accept or decline the team placement within 48 hours, otherwise it may be offered to someone else.

SEASON LAUNCH

All new and returning players and parents of all grades, up to and including Intermediates, will have the opportunity receive important information and meet their coach and teammates prior to the start of the season.
Information regarding this will be included with the offer of team placement email.

TRAINING

The Metro Jets Netball Club does not train during the Summer season
We will continue to run our High-Performance Program and Elevate Performance Program over the Summer 2025/26 Season for our TID Inter athletes and invited players selected in the top 2 teams of each of our Junior age groups, based on performance during trials and the 2025 Winter season.
We will also be delivering our Skills Development Program for all our Metro Jets Junior aged Summer players.
